Tianneng Project Description

In 2011, GME’s Technical Team have been selected for a new Battery Recycling Plant Project from ZHEJIANG TIANNENG SOURCE MATERIAL CO., LTD, P. R. now TIANNENG Group, the leading enterprise of the new energy power battery in China. Its comprehensive strength ranks among the global top 500 new energy enterprises, top 500 Chinese enterprises, top 500 Chinese private enterprises and top 10 Chinese battery industry. > The project consisted in a complete Battery Breaker plant manufacturing with a capacity of 25  tons/hour in Changxin county,  Huzhou, Zhejiang. GME Technical Team were responsible for the engineering, procurement, manufacturing and the installation supervision of the entire plant.

Battery breaker unit, 25 tph capacity, including

Pre-crusher by hammer mill in full SS316
Acid (electrolyte) draining by screening
Drained acid collection & filtering
Aerosol droplet pollution colletion by suction points on breaker and wet scrubbing before discharding to atmosphere, execution in polypropylene
Paste collection into stirred tank with pump transferring to de-sulphuration unit 
Crushed material separation into SS316 water tank
Breaker acid water filtering to charge to de-sulphuration unit 

Paste de-sulphuration unit, 400 tpd capacity, including: 

N.2 insulated stirred reactors in full SS316
Soda feeding to reactors by dense-phase system
Vortex pump in full SS316 feeding the de-sulphurated paste slurry to filter press
Filter press 6,5 m3 capacity in full SS316, with bottom pannels cake conveyor transferring to deposit.
Heavy metals salt solution removal unit
Salt solution polishing filter press
Anydrous sodium sulphate crystallization, detergent quality, with water condensation for re-using in the de-sulphuration process

Twin rotary furnaces 12 m3 capacity (30 ton)

Batch cycle in 4,0 hours, 35 m3 of gas/ton of lead bullion consumption with 4% Pb into slag
Automatic loader with 12 m3 hopper to the Rotary Furnace
Furnace rotation by low speed hydraulic motor coupled to teeth pinion and cogwheel
Furnace melting by SS mono-tube, self cooled, oxy-gas burner
Cr/Mg bricks insulation system
N.2 centered shed pouring holes for lead and slag casting (in different time) into crucibles
Automatic crucible moving by winches system
De-dusting system with center furnace house, sides tunnel and mixing chamber for exhaust gas and fuggitive emission collecting, including the lime feeding & couple of bag filter, the system is according the EU regulations

The first couple of Kettles equipped with tilting table for crucibles content reversing
The second couple of Kettles equipped with bottom pouring hole for gravity casting to ingot caster
N.2 chain skimmers for dross fast skimming
